ARTWORKS

The works in this series are fragments of the same fictional archive, conceived as a series of tape recordings. Each painting is presented as a recovered image, accompanied by the notes of a researcher attempting to reconstruct events that took place before their arrival.

Faces, dates and symbols recur from one work to another, completing the world and the story in which the events unfold. The texts do not explain the images, but document what the researcher believes has been discovered. The order of the works does not necessarily follow the progression of the investigation. The true sequence of events remains for the viewer to reconstruct. Answers emerge gradually as new works are added.
